Agreement

By downloading, accessing, or using ZodiBark (the "App") and related services (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

What ZodiBark Does

ZodiBark is a pet astrology entertainment app. It generates daily horoscopes, compatibility readings, and premium reports for your pets based on their date of birth (or gotcha date), species, breed, and personality traits. Horoscope readings are grounded in real astronomical data (planetary positions, Moon phase, transits) combined with AI-generated interpretive text.

Entertainment Only — Not Professional Advice

ZodiBark is an entertainment product. The readings, horoscopes, compatibility scores, reports, and all other content generated by the app are for fun and amusement only. They should not be interpreted as:

• Veterinary or medical advice for your pet
• Professional animal behavior guidance
• Scientifically validated predictions
• A substitute for professional pet care of any kind

Always consult a qualified veterinarian for your pet's health and well-being. Do not make pet care decisions based solely on content generated by ZodiBark.

Your Account

You sign in using Apple's Sign in with Apple service. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Apple ID. One account per person — you may not create multiple accounts or share your account with others.

Your Responsibilities

• You agree not to use the Service for unlawful, abusive, or harmful purposes.
• You are responsible for providing accurate pet information (species, date of birth, etc.).
• You agree not to upload offensive, harmful, or illegal content as pet photos.
• You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the Service or its API.
• You are responsible for any activity that occurs under your account.

Subscriptions and Purchases

Premium Subscription

ZodiBark offers a premium subscription ("ZodiBark Premium") at $3.99 USD per month. The subscription is billed through Apple's App Store and managed by Apple's StoreKit.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.
• You can manage and cancel your subscription in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.
• No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods.

One-Time Purchases (Reports)

Premium reports (birth chart, year ahead, compatibility) are available as one-time consumable purchases. Once purchased, the report is generated and stored in your account. Report purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or Apple's refund policies.

Free Tier

The free tier includes 1 pet profile, daily horoscopes, compatibility readings, basic share card themes, and bonding prompts. Free-tier users see limited (teaser) content for premium features.

AI-Generated Content

Horoscope readings, compatibility reports, and premium reports are generated by large language models (LLMs) through our server-side Edge Functions. While we use real astronomical data as input, the interpretive text is AI-generated and may occasionally:

• Contain inaccuracies or creative embellishments
• Vary in quality or tone between readings
• Not reflect your pet's actual behavior or personality

We make reasonable efforts to ensure content quality through prompt engineering, output validation, and deterministic fallbacks, but we do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any generated content.

Intellectual Property

The ZodiBark app, its design, branding, code, and original content are owned by the developer and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works based on the Service without prior written permission.

Content generated for your account (readings, reports, share cards) is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may share card images on social media for personal purposes.

User Content

When you upload pet photos, you retain ownership of those photos. By uploading, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display the photos within the app and in share cards. We do not use your photos for any other purpose.

Availability and Changes

We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of significant changes.

Third-Party Services

ZodiBark uses third-party providers (Supabase for backend infrastructure, OpenRouter for AI text generation, and Apple for authentication and payments) to operate the Service. These providers process only the information needed to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ZodiBark and its developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service.

You understand that:

• AI-generated content may contain errors or inaccuracies
• Service availability may be affected by third-party outages
• Horoscopes and readings are entertainment, not professional advice

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ZodiBark and its developer from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

Termination

You can stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings > Delete Account in the app, which permanently removes all your data from our servers.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, use the Service in an abusive manner, or for any other reason at our reasonable discretion.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Switzerland, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app or by other means. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
